Reading Recap, week 29
Very, very brief
Had a hell of a week as far as reading (and everything else) went, so I’ll keep the details brief. This is also why there’s no State of The Dread this week at dreadpennies.com.
I finished MONSTER HUNTER FANTOM and THE CAVALIER IN THE YELLOW DOUBLET. Both books got videos on YouTube.
As far as comics, I read TRANSFORMERS #10 and GEIGER #4. Both are keeping the series going well, but I wish TRANSFORMERS had more of the haste that the first few issues had. I need the Energon universe to find its pacing again. GEIGER continues to be really cool, even if this issue revealed less about the world and was more about Geiger going up against The Electrician, a bounty hunter who wants to capture him.
This issue was really heavy on the grit-and-grunge of post-apocalyptic worlds that I don’t care for. It’s like “Fallout” but not as whimsical. But I do like Geiger as a character and I’m curious to see how he gets out of this pickle.
Overall a modest week for reading. I tossed two books that I thought I would like but couldn’t give a piss about after thirty minutes or so. Life’s too short to care about bad books.
That’s all for this week.
