I read 8 books in June and abandoned a 9th.
Nothing in print, at least not that I finished.
This brings the total to 87 on the year.
The titles are:
Cobalt Red—Karr. Reviewed on this site.
Irreversible Damage—Shrier. Reviewed on this site.
MHM Grunge—Ringo/Correia. First read this in 2017. Ringo playing in Correia’s sandbox has yielded some of the swiftest and most enjoyable urban fantasy I’ve ever read.
Mercury 3—Kroese. A reliably enjoyable installment in a good series. Better than book 2. Video review here.
Haunted Mesa—L’Amour. I’ve taken a few runs at this in the past and never finished it, finally did this time. Fascinating portal fantasy with a southwest desert flair.
Morning Star—Brown. The third in a series, the first three of which are all five-star books. I plan to write a longer series of CrackerStack posts about them.
The Transgender Industrial Complex—Howard. Review paywalled on this site. Didn’t “enjoy it” but an informative read.
Dark One Forgotten—Sanderson/Wells. Review paywalled on this site. Didn’t enjoy it and won’t be reading Wells anymore.
The abandoned book was HE WHO FIGHTS WITH MONSTERS by “Shirtaloon.” Explained:
We’re a week into July and I’ve already finished three books, including a print book I’ve been picking at for six months. Got some great titles on deck and I’m excited to keep reading for the next few weeks.
