I read 14 books in November and abandoned 1.
2 made the best-of-year list.
I won’t litter this post with pictures, I’ll just link to the Amazon listings for the books.
The first November title was WYLDING HALL by Elizabeth Hand. I have a video coming out soon about this one, so I’ll spare excessive details here. It’s a haunted house/1970s rock/English folk song mashup and it’s really freaking good.
After that I read THE SUNLIT MAN by Sanderson. It’s one of the books that makes me realize I’ve kind of outgrown Sanderson. I’m planning a video to recap all four of the “Year of Sanderson” books with my ultimate verdict, I’ll save my detailed thoughts for it.
MURTAGH by Paolini was delightful. Enough that I put it on the best of year list. More power to that guy.
TRACKING SPIRIT BEAR and GHOST OF SPIRIT BEAR. I didn’t read them back to back but I hit them in the same week, they were short.
BRIAN’S RETURN and BRIAN’S WINTER. Just doing some annual reads. Beautiful books by Paulsen, among his best.
HOW TO BUILD A CAR by Newey. Some valuable tidbits, overall a bit boring.
PLUTO VOL2 by Urusawa x Tezuka. Second in a series of manga that I’m really enjoying, the main character is a robot detective on the hunt for a serial killer targeting other robots.
IN THE TIME OF DINOSAURS by K.A. Applegate, this was a massive Animorphs book from 1998. I’m getting back into these with my kids and loving the nostalgia. It has some funny dated references, too.
THE JUPITER KNIFE by DJ Butler and Aaron Michael Ritchey. Second in a series. I love the setting and the characters in these, I hate to admit that for the most part the stories don’t hold my attention. That hurts because I like Dave and his writing. Alas, honesty must win.
The unfinished book was KING PHILIP’S WAR by Schulz/Tougaias. Wasn’t bad, just more of a reference book than a narrative.
That’s it. Now I’m going to read a bunch of Christmas books and start working on the 27 titles I picked up from Audible’s sale last week. Ugh. Haha.
Thanks guys.

GodSpeed, Graham - that is a LOT of books!
